Pension Martinez - גרנדה

Very friendly staff

Cockroach in our bathroom one evening, very dim main light (not really an issue with the bedside lamps on) & we had trouble with the heaters. They were supposed to go on at 8 each evening but didn't seem to do so. Wifi wasn't great except in one corner of the room.

good location in the center of granada, good solution for visiting the city if you like walking.

I stayed one night at Pension Martinez. Great budget accommodation, friendly staff, central location.

Pension Martinez and Rafael was fantastic. He helped us so much to get our Alhambra tickets and provided such excellent customer service we were moved. The old lady there also tried to help us get Flamenco tickets in the Albacin. The rooms were spic and span, super clean and comfortable beds. We had a large twin room to ourselves, and there were 2 other unused beds in our room. The price was extremely good value. The bathroom is spacious and again very clean. We highly recommend Rafael and his team at Pension Martinez!

Constant hot water,and good towels

The hotel was down a dingy back street overlooking an abandoned 3 story building site. The room was absoloutely freezing, particularly at night , there was central heating but it was never switched on. The electrics were a bit dodgy, the main light in the room kept flashing on and off and so had to be disconnected and there was only a small reading lamp which was too dim to read with. Cheap place, but definitely wouldn't stay there again

It is close to the centre, you should walk only 15-20 min. to the Alhambra. The street where is the hostal is narrow, sometimes kids are playing. The staff is very friendly, the young man can speak English, he explains the whole city, with the the lady you can communicate only in Spanish.The room is pretty big but simply.

The walls are tiny, at 7.00 you can hear the other guest starting to go to the Alhambra entrace. The towel was dirty. The tv is on the wall and you can't see it from the bed if only you stand.

The room and bathroom is clean. Very good shower/bath. The location is good, close to sights, shops and restaurants.

Staff is very friendly but does not speak English at all! Wifi is not working at the second floor. There are construction works accross the street. From Monday to Friday early in the morning very very noisy. The room is not that big (no seats for example) and there is no common room where you can sit.

The hotel is well located and the quality/price ratio is good. Excellent the service of the staff. Always available to give us advices and information.

The kindness and the disposability of the personal

The Pension is well located and the staff is very friendly. It is a good value for the price.

The lack of air-conditioning can be challenging in hot weather. There is no elevator, but the staff is helpful with bags.

Very welcoming, basic, clean and secure accomodation. Owner of the property was very nice and couldn't do enough to help, with an amazing ability to communicate with us despite that fact we could not speak Spanish and she could not speak much English! Free parking, is south of the river and about 10-15 minutes walk from the accomodation. If you are not used to Spain (which we were not) you need to park in the bays marked with white dotted lines (blue bays are on parking meters). 10 minute walk into the centre of Granada, where there are a wealth of shops, bars and restaurants. Overall, I would recommend this accomodation since it is good value, secure and a short walk from the centre/attractions.

Staying in July, the room was quite warm at night and with the streets being busy until late into the evening, could sometimes be a little noisy - although not too much of a problem us.

Too essential services despite the low price. Avoid the room with four beds for those suffering from claustrophobia!

Location, service, staff. The Martinez's is in the very center of Granada. In 5 minutes by walk you are in the cathedral, and the tapas and shopping areas. The staff is very helpful. If you need, a employee goes with you to find a place to park. Very near the hostel there is a tourist information office. You can leave your lugagge as long as you want in the hostel. We had the bus at 21:00, so we could seize the day in the city without our bagagge. It is for free.The rooms are, overall, very clean. You can smell the cleaning product when you go into the room. You can watch tv and there is internet. If the staff dont know something, they look for on the internet. There is a bus stop to the airport very near. There is a very big department store (Corte Ingles) behind the hostel, as well as a very big market where you can buy something to eat or whatever, at real prices (not for tourists)

According to the price-quality relation, there is nothing that I can say. It is not a five stars hotel, but for the price it a very good option. You can have a private room with your own full bathroom, at very similar price in a dorm, but with more privacy.

Really nice and clean room. For this price you couldn't expect more. I would stay there again.

Free parking is a street about 500 meters away from hostel and there's no garanty you find a space for parking.

Very helpful and friendly staff available at all times. Good value low budget hotel.

At the moment (June 2011) there is construction work going on about two meters away from the window/balcony (rooms facing the street).
